Thanks Tyler for this blog. Regarding high-self performance, self compassion is a challenging balance to find. Your insights are helpful and I will be sure to check out Dr Neff’s content.

Yes, for sure. In a high-performance world, it can be difficult to be kind to oneself if things don't go according to plan. Perhaps organizations can take a step back to recognize self-compassion as a way to promote wellness as opposed to only performance. Thank you for sharing!

Yes absolutely! We just need to find ways to minimize the volume of our inner voice. Thank you for sharing!

Dr.Kristin Nuff’s work is very impactful, I was introduced to her during a training on yoga for stress and anxiety.

Your reference of the compassion we have for another is often quite different from the compassion we have for ourselves.

One is so naturally easy and the other so hard.

Absolutely, it can be so much harder for us to show the same compassion to ourselves than to others. I wonder if it's because of the expectations we place onto ourselves to do well, whereas with others those same expectations aren't in place. It's great to hear Dr. Neff's work being discussed within the context of stress and anxiety. Thank you for sharing!

Yes self compassion is easily forgotten on one self. I have recognized this strongly the past couple of weeks. I am registered in a pottery course, something I have never done before and am finding it to be very challenging.

I am constantly comparing myself to what the others are creating in the class. So this weeks class I will remember Self Kindness and Mindfulness towards myself.

I appreciated this blog as clearly was exactly what I needed. Thank you

Yes, this is a perfect example of how self-compassion can be used to manage the expectations someone can put on themselves. Remember too that even the ones who are creating more elaborate projects started out where you are today. It just takes time :)
